You are an OBC, na?
While having dinner, a lot of teenagers who are just out of school were discussing college options at the next table. One of them was openly doubtful about his chances of making it into a decent engineering college. Pat came the comment from a friend of his: "shouldn't be a problem yaar, you are an OBC, na?"
No one looked offended though.

Isn't that supposed to be a criminal offence, if a complaint is filed?
After the results of my 12th standard board exam was announced, some friends were looking at the results. One guy did not have the required marks in maths to qualify for an admission to the Engineering colleges. But he said, "That's not a problem. I'll get an OBC reservation!".
'Reservation' of all kinds were a big topic of discussion during undergrad, but that's a long story. Maybe I'll write about it sometime!
