Ashwathama
The following quote is from a column on religion from an old issue of The Hindu:
-
Ashwathama took a blade of grass, uttered certain incantations and sent it across his foes, saying: ``May the world be Pandava- less''. Later, it entered the womb of the wife of Abhimanyu and killed the growing child. At one stage, Ashwathama had the audacity to suggest that the divine discus held by the Lord be exchanged for his own `Astra'. For once, Krishna became furious and called Ashwathama as the most contemptible of all creatures born. ``I will give life to the child'' and the Lord (in human form) cursed him that he would have to wander in this world all alone, for a very long time, without a single companion and without a loving word from anyone.

The way you have linked it up is even more disgusting.......
Gujarat was not good, certainly.
But how many of these human right watchers bother about How strategically and systematically an arrogant religion cleans and eliminates all the OTHER ANIMALS!
How systematically they breed like pigs and multiply among themselves so that at some point later they can cliam to hold a majority and oust the KAFIRs out of their very own lands!
And put an icing on the cake! The one dirty devil among the present day international BIGHeads, to be even hyperlinked to the God's name!
Anandu, you are JUST DISGUSTING....
Much more than ashwathama!
A great set of analogies, except for the comparison of Bush with God in human form. For any reason, do you think that Saddam is Kans mama or Jarasandh?

this is NOT on ashwatthama.
the new 'locana' logo is impressive (is it from some ancient egyptian glyph/painting? heard they used to paint staring pairs of eyes all over to ward off 'drishti').
the locana you chose appears to be the RIGHT one of a pair. how come???
Vishnu: Bush and God in human form - I thought it's apt in this context as Modi and his compatriots have consistently regarded successive American presidents as avatars. If I remember right, Ramchandra Paramhans and Nritya Gopal Das, prominent Ayodhya movement leaders, had written to Clinton that they consider him as Lord Krishna himself! So it's not my analogy and it doesn't fit my viewpoints. It fits Modi's worldview and hence that link.
Anonymous: Thanks for the comments about the logo. That image I got via a Google search. I hadn't noticed that it's the RIGHT eye! Let's take it that Locana is always RIGHT!
more on the 'locana' - a digression from the ashwatthama theme. the FULL google image is certainly egyptian. it is called the 'eye of horus'. it is a talismanic image and incorporates some mystic mathematics and (seemingly grisly) mythology as well: different portions of the eye glyph represent fractions (powers of 1/2) which add up to 63/64. each fraction apparently corresponds to a portion of the body of the god osiris which was cut to pieces and scattered by his vengeful brother seth - and found and reassembled by his widow isis.
the remaining 1/64 corresponds to the phallus which was probably never retrieved. at 'locana' a further portion of the glyph and hence of osiris's person has apparently been removed editorially. one would like to suggest that the full glyph be adopted for 'locana' rather than the present trimmed one. mystic symbols have certain attributes which militate against unrestricted editorial freedom.
Done! Many thanks for that info.
much honored by your appreciation.
now with the benign eye of horus
(should add, horus is the son of osiris and isis and he eventually takes revenge on the malignant seth) watching over it, locana should keep up the good work with enhanced vigor.
