Tell me, Mr. Naidu, what good is a laptop when you are unable to see (other things happening in the state)? Good Cartoon!

On another note, Naidu attributes his loss (in part) to his alliance with the "saffron party" [The Hindu]

And I think the saffron party Naidu said they would have done better if they weren't aligned with this Naidu!

Naidu's rule was quite horrible, with his obsession for IT and nothing else.

Unfortunately, things haven't become much better right now with the present incumbent. I travelled extensively in March in the Chitoor district (visiting some projects I was involved in) and the tremendous apathy and corruption of the local politicians as well as bureaucrats was depressing. :-((

Sunil, the same dilemma you commented on elsewhere -- devil and the deep blue sea.

But I do believe that if you have a government that you believe has not delivered, you've got to vote to throw it out in the elections even if the alternative is putrid. That way, at least the politicians will learn their lesson -- or at least, you can hope they will. That's the only hope for a better quality of politics.

Yeah, I'm no fan of most of our Congress politicians. I believe that things haven't much improved in AP. But if Naidu had got another five year term, situation could have been even worse. Bad governance gets worse when it's coupled with arrogance, right? At some point Naidu started believing that he's invincible. My hope is that by the time the voters are ready to throw YSR out, Naidu mellows down a bit.
