You posted it cuz you think it is a major breakthrough in science or cuz the people involved are Indians?

Anyway,I have a small doubt. So,We are trying to get rid off the general theory of relativity and replace it with a quantum theory of gravity, right?GTR gave amazingly precise predictions, and is called by some as "one of the most beautiful theories ever made".The end of this would mean the end of black holes and the big bang, right?I thought Blackholes n stuff had some experimental evidence.GTR is replaced=>they do not exist as far as science is concerned, right? So how can we really eliminate them,in spite of the experimental evidences?

I am probable wrong here. Please correct me.

Sahodaran,I have a clarification to make.
1. Black holes are not theoretical pieces.Such dense mass with high graviation force emitting radiation only are experimentally discovered.
No theory can disprove it and if so, the theory has flawed somewhere.

2. May be some of the assumptions made by Hawking,Chandrashekar might be wrong , but the existence of black holes are proven.

Happened to hit this site while searching for Krishnan Nair. Hope to add you in my syndication.

Thanks
